Remasters Needed For The Nintendo Switch

For me, there are only four remasters that I’d like to see on the Nintendo Switch – two of which would certainly convince me to purchase the console. But there are tonnes of other great Nintendo based games. So feel free to let me know your picks in the comments below!

Super Smash Bros, Melee

Who doesn’t enjoy smashing your enemies to smithereens. Particularly whilst playing as some of the most popular Nintendo characters of all time? Super Smash Bros, Melee was the ultimate fighting game back in 2001 / 2002. It was the best selling game on the GameCube for a reason, you know.

Pokemon Blue / Red / Yellow

Pokemon, am I right? Who wants all these newfangled Pokemon. We want Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. We want Rhydon and Nidoking. We want the original 150. And by we, I mean me. I’d love to see either Pokemon Red / Blue or Pokemon Yellow get themselves a current-gen revamp. They’ve been ported for far too long. Combine that with the anywhere play and interconnected nature of the Nintendo Switch, and that’s my wet dream.

Pokemon Stadium

Probably one of the greatest games to ever grace the N64. At least, that’s what my rose tinted glasses are telling me. Granted I haven’t played the game in a good decade. Sure, we had Pokemon Battle Revolution. But it paled in comparison to its predecessors, Stadium and Colosseum. Bring back the RPG elements and give it decent on and offline multiplayer – off the back of Pokemon Go, they’ll be in for a hit.

GoldenEye

No list of classic Nintendo games in need of remaster on the Nintendo Switch would be complete without GoldenEye. Easily the best game on the N64. Do I need to say more? Good. Because I wasn’t going to.

So there are four games that I’d love to see remastered on the Nintendo Switch. But what about you? What games would you love to sink your teeth back into? Let me know in the comments below!
